While many in the online business world have adopted Mark Zuckerberg’s famous motto of move fast and break things, my personal mantra will forever be, slow and steady wins the race.
Each time I’ve cranked up the hustle to speed faster toward my goals, I’ve ended up wasting time, wasting money, and throwing myself into burnout.
It’s like being one of those lunatics that speed past you on the road, only to have to stop at a red light 5 seconds later. What was the point of that, you a-hole?? I’m done being that a-hole in my business.
Today’s brains are chronically overloaded, and they haven’t evolved to keep up with the demands of the modern day world. Our cognitive loads are huge—our to-do lists are longer than the first draft of War and Peace, and we’re constantly trying to multitask to get everything done. Overall, we have a lot more to do and a lot less help to get it all done.
That’s why I was so excited when I recently came across the concept of slow productivity. Today, I’m equally excited to share my latest video below, titled “Less But Better: The Art of Slow Productivity,” where I delve into this concept.
I can slow down, do less, and still reach my biggest goals—WITHOUT berating myself for not working harder and faster and arriving there yesterday? Sign me up!
The ideas behind slow productivity are simple but powerful and if you’re a slow and steady wins the race kind of person, you’ll appreciate this video.
